Merseyside Higher Education Conference 2012
The Merseyside Higher Education Conference 2012, in association with UCAS, supported by HELOA is taking place at the University of Liverpool on Wednesday 13th and Thursday14th June.
The event opens at 9.30 am on both days and closes at 2.00 pm. There is no closure for lunch.
The same programme is repeated on both days.
In 2011 almost 11,000 students attended to talk to university reps; attend seminars on studying and applying to university; and experience a day at a Russell group university.
The Conference is organised by Greater Merseyside Connexions Partnership Ltd, the University of Liverpool’s Guild of Students and Student Recruitment and Admissions Office.
The Conference is one of a national series of events supported by UCAS.
These web pages will help you make the most of the Conference.
It is aimed at students from the Merseyside boroughs of Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, St. Helens, Sefton and Wirral and students from the City of Chester and the west of the county of Cheshire who are considering applying to HE for a course starting in 2013. However, we welcome schools and colleges from further afield if they feel their students will benefit from the event, hosted by a Russell Group university.

Conference Reception
There will be Connexions staff available near the front doors of the Mountford Hall. The main Conference reception is in the main corridor of the Mountford Hall near the exit doors of the Market Place part of the Conference.
There is a separate entrance for students who are wheelchair users or have other mobility issues. This is situated just inside the automatic doors of the Saro Wiwa bar area – just along from the entrance to the Royal Bank of Scotland on Mount Pleasant. These doors will be staffed throughout the Conference.
Refreshments
Refreshments can be purchased from outlets in the Courtyard area of the Conference. A number of shops including a Tesco Express, a Costa Coffee, a Greggs and a Subway are located very near to the conference venue.
