BTEC Professional Diploma, BTEC Advanced Professional Diploma.
The qualifications offer a mixture of theory and practice, and may also include an element of work experience. They may form (or be part of) a technical certificate, one of the key components of an Apprenticeship.
In 2010 the Qualifications Credit Framework was set up to create and accredit qualifications in England and Wales.
QCF qualifications have been designed with the help of employers to ensure that learners obtain skills which employers require. The QCF groups qualifications together into different levels.
You can use these qualifications to obtain a job or gain entry to courses of further study.
