GCSE (General Certificate of Secondary Education)
This is the main qualification taken by 14 to 16 year olds in schools. You can study them in a wide range of subjects.
They are also available to all and offered at schools and colleges on a part time basis sometimes in the evening.
This qualification mainly involves studying the theory of the subject, however some subjects involve practical work.
GCSE's depending on the selected subject you study are assessed on written exams and or course work.
They are a very useful qualification to use on various career paths
