You will at times need to prove your identity or age. CitizenCard can give you all the proof you need. Using a CitizenCard is voluntary, but it can make life much easier. Even if you have a passport or driving licence, CitizenCard means you can leave these more valuable documents safely at home.

Is CitizenCard widely recognised?
Many retailers, airlines (domestic flights) and other organisations recognise CitizenCard as valid photo-ID or proof-of-age.

Can anyone apply?
Anyone anywhere in the world can now obtain a CitizenCard. If you are under 16 you will need parental consent.

How much do they cost?
They cost £9 in the UK or £5 to under-18s.
